Lisa GrudnizkiSubdivision 1
Lestock, Leross, Kelliher, Earl Grey, Southey, Markinch, Cupar, Dysart and surrounding areas
Lisa and her husband are both graduates of Robert Southey School. They reside in Southey with their son, who also attends Robert Southey School. After her Grade 12, Lisa lived in various communities outside of Southey before returning to Southey in 2016 to raise her son in the community she and her husband grew up.
Lisa holds a Water Resources Engineering Technology diploma from SIAST and worked in an engineering department for a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation before moving onto Saskatchewan Polytechnic where her final position was the Program Head of Co-operative Education. Over her 20 year career at SaskPolytech, she developed a strong passion in post-secondary education having worked with many diverse adult learners. The relationships she formed with various business and industry employers still resonate with her today. Lisa left SaskPolytech in June 2020 to devote all of her time to her family and community. She was elected to the Prairie Valley Board of Education in 2020.
Lisa is committed to serving all stakeholders of Prairie Valley School Division with her experience and passion for education. Lisa's focus is to ensure that our division's children can achieve their full potential for whatever life holds for them during and after their time at PVSD.

Charla SebastianSubdivision 2
Craven, Lumsden, Regina Beach, Bethune, Findlater, Disley, Grand Coulee, Pense and surrounding areas
Charla grew up in Pense, then eventually moving to Lumsden where she attended Lumsden High School. After graduation Charla pursued a career in the field of Massage Therapy and attended Western College of Remedial Massage Therapy for two years. She has been fortunate enough to work in Lumsden, building her business alongside her instructor and mentor at Baiton Massage Clinic for twenty five plus years and continues to practice.
Charla has served on various boards, including the Air Cadets Executive Board, the Craven Rink Board, and Lumsden High School Community Council. Charla is married with two sons, and resides in the Craven area.

My dedication to personal discipline, focus and commitment to growth is something I carry into every aspect of my life. Although I place high priority in academics, I believe public education is also a place for developing friendships, teamwork, and building resilience and social skills that shape well rounded individuals. I am passionate about our youth and look forward to representing our communities and bringing that voice to the board table".

Karla was born and raised in Balcarres, SK, as was her husband Kent. Karla taught in Balcarres for 25 years and Fort Qu'Appelle Elementary for 5.5 years until her retirement in December of 2023. They have two two grown daughters, Cherrise and Carissa. In June of 2022 they relocated to Katepwa Beach where they live full time with their two small dogs. Karla chose to represent Subdivision 3 because she has a deep love and interest in education and especially regarding factors that affect small rural communities. Karla looks forward to being the voice of these communities at the Board table.

Meghan LaverdiereSubdivision 4
Abernethy, Lemberg, Neudorf, Indian Head, Sintaluta, Wolseley and surrounding areas
Meghan resides in Wolseley, where her husband Aaron was raised. They are the proud parents of four children, aged 6 to 15. Meghan grew up in Kipling and, after completing high school, attended the University of Regina for one year before pursuing her passion for cosmetology at a college in Regina. She earned her Journeyman’s certification in 2007 and subsequently opened her own salon, which she continues to operate in Wolseley today.
In addition to her professional work, Meghan is deeply committed to community service, volunteering on various local committees. She is also a founding member of a nonprofit organization established to raise funds for families and individuals in need within the community. She understands the importance of active community engagement and has always been a strong advocate for her children’s education. This advocacy inspired her to run for the Prairie Valley School Division (PVSD) Board. Meghan is eager to build meaningful relationships within neighbouring communities, represent their concerns at the board table, and collaborate to make PVSD the best school division possible.
Meghan is passionate about ensuring that every student feels safe and has access to quality education, which she believes is crucial to their success.

Jennifer KraushaarSubdivision 5
Grenfell, Broadview, Whitewood and surrounding areas
Jennifer lives in Grenfell with her husband Nathan and two sons. Her boys attend school in Prairie Valley School Division, and are the fourth generation to farm their land south of Summerberry, SK.
After graduating high school, Jennifer attended Concordia University College and the University of Alberta, where she majored in History and Canadian Studies. While working in the Oil and Gas sector, Jennifer met Nathan and they relocated to Grenfell to start a family and build their life. While running a home based esthetics business and learning how to farm, she became involved in various community groups. She is the founding member of the Grenfell Childcare Centre, has served as an Executive member of the Grenfell Athletics Association since 2015, has been part of, and is the current Chair of the Board of Recreation and Culture since 2015, has spent time on the Library Board, and is a long time member of the Grenfell Elementary SCC.
After working at Prairie Valley School Division as an EA and a Librarian, Jennifer became committed to see students foster a well rounded approach to education, considering academics, arts, athletics, and social development all key factors in their growth during their school years. As a PVSD Board member, Jennifer wants to encouraged an engaged student body, which will lead to stronger parental and community engagement, and ensure the long term success of the school in our Division.

Terry Berglund, Vice ChairSubdivision 6

Terry resides on a farm near the community of Kennedy, operating an agricultural business along with her daughter and son. She has four adult children and is a proud grandmother to four grandsons.
Terry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Regina. She has a Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology from Minot State University. Terry pioneered Speech/Language Pathology in southeastern Saskatchewan, being the first Speech/Language Pathologist available in many rural communities. She worked in her field for 34 years, retiring from Prairie Valley School Division in 2011.
Terry began to serve on the Prairie Valley Board of Education (PVSD), winning a by-election in 2014. She was elected to serve as Vice-Chair to the Board in November of 2023. Terry has served on Audit & Risk, Local Bargaining, Governance, Professional Development and Policy committees of the school division. She represents PVSD at the Public Section of the Saskatchewan School Board Association.

Janet is from Montmartre. She has worked in government and the private sector and currently operates a mixed grain and livestock farm with her husband Peter. They have three children, their daughter is a Registered Psychologist, their son is a Civil Engineer and their youngest daughter a Registered Nurse.
Janet has served in the education sector since her election to the local school board in Montmartre in 1997. She has been on the Prairie Valley Board of Education since its inception in 2005. Janet was elected Board Chair in 2012 and has served on various Prairie Valley committees including Local Bargaining, Audit and Risk, Governance, and Policy Renewal. She served as Southern Constituency Representative on the Executive of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association from 2012-2021. Her provincial experiences have been wide-ranging and include chairing the SSBA's Board Development Committee and Co-Chairing the Education Visioning Project Working Advisory Group (WAG) and Education Equity WAG as well as serving on the and the University of Regina Senate. Janet continues to serve provincially on the Board Chairs Council and the Educational Relations Board.

I will work to ensure that Prairie Valley Board of Education has a strong advocacy plan to achieve sufficient and sustainable funding so Prairie Valley can be a full-service school division that has a full complement of professional staff that serves and honours all learners. I want to ensure all students have the best possible opportunity to be successful in learning and life.”

Andrew BoschmanSubdivision 8

Andrew Boschman has proudly called White City home for over 14 years, where he resides with his fiancé Jackie and their four children, all of whom attend school within Prairie Valley School Division (PVSD).
As a small business owner, Andrew operates an audio-visual company specializing in hospitality, corporate and residential services. His professional background equips him with a strong sense of organization, problem-solving, and leadership, all of which he brings to his role as a trustee.
Andrew is deeply committed to his community, currently serving his third term as a Town Councillor for White City. He also dedicates his time as a board member of CommuniSkate, a position he has held for six years. These roles have shaped his approach to strategic, proactive planning and taught him the value of collaboration in addressing the needs of a rapidly growing community.
Passionate about supporting youth, Andrew is dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and equitable environment for all students and teachers in PVSD. He is driven to represent the voices of those who entrusted him with this responsibility, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed with integrity and care.

Kimberly KielSubdivision 9

Growing up in Balgonie, Kimberly attended both Balgonie Elementary School and Greenall High Schools before graduating from the University of Regina with a business degree. As an entrepreneur, she spent the first decade of her career building a successful financial planning practice. Since 2003 she's been a professional artist whose work appears in galleries across Canada and around the world. As of 2008 she has resided on an acreage near Balgonie with her husband and two sons.
For the past 25 years she has served in a leadership capacity on numerous boards and volunteer organizations, including as Chair or Vice Chair on School Community Councils at Balgonie Elementary School and Greenall High School.
Joining the PVSD Board of Education following a by-election in November 2023, Kiel is passionate about representing the communities of Subdivision 9 and ensuring they have a strong voice in important decisions about public education. She understands the personal impacts of education, the value of community service and the importance of striving to make a difference. And she believes that healthy, growing communities are built on and benefit from a strong public education system that is focused on meeting the needs of all students.

Rachel SangwaisSubdivision 10
Zagime Anishinabek First Nation
Rachel lives at Zagime Anishinabek First Nations, northeast of Grenfell. She has three children: two sons who attend a Prairie Valley school and a daughter who attends Goose Lake School at Zagime Anishinabek First Nations.
Rachel had a career as a youth worker and recreational technician before being elected to Zagime Anishinabek First Nations Council in 2013. When she was first elected, she was given the education mandate and decided to become a school board member as an opportunity to connect with youth again. She was elected to Prairie Valley Board of Education in 2014.
Rachel brings to the Board her experience with youth and a unique perspective as a young First Nations person. "Learning about the issues and concerns of our youth today and sharing in their successes is the most meaningful part of my work on the Board."
